Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif called H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan this afternoon and congratulated the President and the people of Tajikistan on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr.During their telephone conversation, the two leaders expressed satisfaction on the positive trajectory of bilateral relations that have grown consistently and have accelerated since the Prime Minister’s visit to Dushanbe in July last year.The Prime Minister congratulated President Rahmon on the recent signing of the “Treaty on the Delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Border. He added that he looked forward to his participation in the upcoming “International High-Level Event on Glaciers’ Preservation” being hosted in Dushanbe in the end of May 2025.The Prime Minister also reiterated his invitation to the President of Tajikistan to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.President Emomali Rahmon thanked the Prime Minister for the telephone call and conveyed his sincere good wishes for the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
