Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries (ICSTSI) recently had the privilege of hosting Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Director General (Africa) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for an insightful discussion on business opportunities in Africa. The session was highly detailed and productive, focusing on potential trade and investment avenues for Pakistani businesses in the African continent.
Mr. Sirohey provided a comprehensive overview of Africa’s emerging markets and highlighted key sectors where Pakistani entrepreneurs can expand their reach. He also introduced the Pak-Africa Economic Council, a strategic initiative aimed at facilitating trade, enhancing diplomatic relations, and creating new business collaborations between Pakistan and African nations. The council will serve as a crucial platform for exploring African markets and fostering economic partnerships.The discussion was attended by Mr. Awais Satti, President of ICSTSI, Vice President Sardar zaheer,chairperson diplomatic affairs Committee Shumaila siddique and executive members of the chamber. Their participation underscored ICSTSI’s commitment to strengthening international trade ties and opening new economic opportunities for its members.With Africa’s rapidly growing economies and expanding consumer markets, initiatives like the Pak-Africa Economic Council will play a pivotal role in promoting bilateral trade and investment.
